DAMAGED (Available 1/26/2010)

Camille Logan feels she has no choice other than turning for help to her boyfriend Chu, a mid-level drug dealer, when she finally decides to escape the sexual abuse of her foster parents. Chu is killed in a drive-by shooting, and with nowhere else to turn, Camille finds herself living with a stable of women in a tiny rundown apartment building and working for Nut, a deranged pimp who has sold all his women on the dream of owning their own homes - but only if they each contribute to the pot. Paralyzed by circumstance, as well as questions about Chu’s death, Camille is forced to right herself and slowly learns that it’s not solely her past that determines her future.

Praise for Damaged

From the very first page, DAMAGED grabbed my attention and wouldn’t let go - even after the very last page. A well written book leaves the reader wondering about the characters long after they’ve put the book down. Kia DuPree’s literary voice sings in this beautifully written story of a young lady’s tumultuous life. - Tracy Brown, author of WHITE LINES and TWISTED.
